yes, because you can do your learning at home, and school work at school, and if you needed any help right at the desk is the teacher, and that way you don't have to sit at home at the table pondering on weather the work is right or wrong, so lean at home, and do the work at school in class with the help of your teacher, it helps you learn a lot better then learning at school, and doing work at home at that stinky kitchen table all night hoping that its right or wrong. flipping the class room is a great idea for kids who are having trouble in school with learning, and doing work at home well i think yes they have been wrong to be teaching as they are now i think learning at home is a lot better then learning in a class room full of people.
I don't think that the way schools have been teaching is wrong but I do think that that the way the video shows would be smart. If we watch the video of the teacher at home we can't ask questions. On the other hand it is also good because you can learn at your own pace by replaying the video. I would enjoy being able to do homework at school instead of at home because I could ask my teacher about any thing I need help on. But I feel like the whole entire class time for doing homework is a long time of a lot of boring work. I have no preference on weather we learn in class or at home.
Yes schools have been wrong to teach us as they have. The current accepted way of teaching was meant to make two type of people: the factory worker ,and the manager. It also groups up people by age, so that the factory's would have a steady stream for growth and replacements. It also doesn't teach everyone the mastery of skills (i.e. math, history, etc..) and will move on whenmost and not all students get it. This way of teaching results in holes in peoples knowledge and can make them fail later in life. For schools to fix this they will need to be ''flipped'' to better fit everyone's pace and needs.
Yes, schools have been wrong to teach as they have. Schools have been teaching by a lecture and then homework basis. But by giving each student the ability to replay, pause, skip, and rewind each lesson on a Ipod or a computer, it gives the student a chance to learn at their own pace. The “flipped classroom” idea has the student interacting with their teachers and fellow students more often. It may give them a longer “homework” period at home which is really watching the lectures, but it also gives the teacher the chance to get hands on teaching with the students while helping them with what used to be their “homework”. I agree with the “flipped classroom” idea because it has been my experience that I and the other students learn better with interaction.
Schools have not been wrong to teach as they have. The way the school system works helps many to become social and learn how to deal with people they dislike and the drama that may come with it, so along with a good learning experience, they are getting talents and figuring out ways to deal with things that are outside of ones control. I do agree that having an Ipad for students more advanced would be a pleasant thing. Students could learn the necessary at their own pace and not have to worry bout distractions or anything of the sort. As stated before though, once they get out of school and are done with the classes that are needed for the application they wanted, they wont have the ability to deal with people for they have not ever had to deal with so. With any job comes the risks of complications with employees, if one had never dealt with this before, they may not understand how to respectfully deal with the situation in a non hostile way. This can become a threat to the job that they have. Schools could be improved, but with the perks that come along with the system such as social skills, it wouldn't be an absolute benefit to “flip the classroom”.
