Yes, schools have been wrong to teach as they have. Schools have been teaching by a lecture and then homework basis. But by giving each student the ability to replay, pause, skip, and rewind each lesson on a Ipod or a computer, it gives the student a chance to learn at their own pace. The “flipped classroom” idea has the student interacting with their teachers and fellow students more often. It may give them a longer “homework” period at home which is really watching the lectures, but it also gives the teacher the chance to get hands on teaching with the students while helping them with what used to be their “homework”. I agree with the “flipped classroom” idea because it has been my experience that I and the other students learn better with interaction.
